We are supporting informal early childhood centres in the area
in setting up management structures, sponsorship programmes and
by offering training sessions in educational subjects such as
puppetry, story telling, child development and toy making. We
also offer gross and fine motor groups and school readiness
assessments by our volunteer therapist.
In some informal centres up
to 60 young children attend school from 7am -
5pm while their moms work. Our volunteers bring a bag of fruit
and engage with the children for two hours daily, each providing
fun and educational activities such as reading stories and
singing. Donations of clothes, toys and food are distributed on
a regular basis.
